The 31st Annual Conference of the European Association of Law and Economics (EALE) will be held on September 18-20, 2014 in Aix-en-Provence, France at Aix-Marseille Université in the Main Building of the Law School.
The conference will be hosted by Aix Marseille Université, the largest French-speaking university and one of France's oldest higher education institutions (founded in 1409).
Fadi Chehadé is the president and CEO of ICANN. His career has been defined by building consensus and promoting collaborative technologies and practices. He has more than 25 years of experience in building and leading progressive Internet enterprises, leveraging relationships with senior executives and government officials across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Before joining ICANN as its President and CEO in late 2012, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Vocado LLC, a U.S. firm that is a provider of cloud-based software for the administration of educational institutions.
Mario Rizzo is the Co-Director of the Classical Liberal Institute at the New York University School of Law as well as a professor of economics at NYU. He is also the Director of the Program on the Foundations of the Market Economy in the Department of Economics. He has been a law and economics fellow at Yale Law School and the University of Chicago Law School. He is the author of many articles in economics and in law journals. He is the coauthor (with Gerald P. O’Driscoll, Jr.) of the forthcoming Austrian Economics Re-Examined: The Economics of Time and Ignorance.
